We strive to provide the highest quality Athletic Trainers to our Affiliated Sites, this is an evaluation and assessment of the performance of the Athletic Trainers in the Hamilton Sports Medicine Department Hamilton Medical Center.

1. I will ALWAYS put patients’ needs first.
• I will not allow myself to be pressured into returning a player before they’re ready no matter the game.
• I will lead a compassionate presence, helping the athlete to keep their dignity at a time where that is very difficult.
• I will promote an environment that encourages an athlete's overall health; BOTH on and off the field.
• I will always be there for my athletes, even if it means just sitting and letting them vent.
• I will fully explain the injury to each athlete thoroughly and treat the injury to the best of my ability and return them to play and safely and quickly as possible.
• I will show empathy and understanding towards athletes/administration and their situations/duties they experience.

2. I will acknowledge everyone, make eye contact, smile, say hello and use their name if possible.
• I will be calm, courteous, and speak directly to an athlete/ parent about an injury and when answering questions.
• I will attend parent meetings and introduce myself.
• I will acknowledge every athlete, coach, manager and staff member as if they are the president of the college.
• I will invite a welcoming atmosphere to encourage team building which creates better outcomes.
• I will speak to everyone at the school, AD, coaches, custodians and all other school staff.

• I will inspect equipment regularly. If something is damaged, I will immediately fix it or inform someone who can.
• If I see an athlete down on the playing field, I will the first one to them and decide the next steps to take.
• I will not stand and let an athlete be bullied, I will make sure that athlete feels safe and protected in my presence.
• If I see an issue that could affect an athlete's safety, I will proactively work with school administration to resolve it.
• I will remain positive in every situation, even if it seems difficult.
